Making a Makerspace

Cape Cod Makers will be attending the “Make a Makerspace” workshop at the Artisan’s Asylum from February 1st to February 3rd.  The Artisan’s Asylum is a 40,000 square foot facility that allows its members to work on a wide variety of projects ranging from electronics to 3-D printing, from metalworking to robotics.  They also offer an extensive array of classes for their members and the community at large.

There will be over 100 attendees representing schools, universities and individuals interested in creating a makerspace.  During this workshop we’ll learn the basics of setting up a makerspace, including topics such as membership, legal structure, funding, location, and liability insurance.

We’ll keep you posted on our trip to the Artisan’s Asylum.  Feel free to contact us at info@capecodmakers.org.  Thank you for your support of Cape Cod Makers!
