We had another great turnout for our Falmouth meetup on Tuesday, April 16. We’d like to extend a very big thank you to the folks from the Mashpee School System—Sal Nocella, Mike Looney, and Sheila Arnold–for sharing their 3-D printing projects. If you want to see what education will look like in the future, you can check out their website: http://www.mashpeetech.com/ Thank you also to Doug Butler for bringing his Printerbot 3-D printer which he built himself. Cool!
Our next meetup will be on Tuesday, May 21st at the Sandwich Public Library from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. The topic of the meetup will be September’s Maker Faire, an event designed to showcase what people are working on. We’ve submitted our application to Make Magazine and really would like to make it happen this year. We can’t do it without your help!
In addition, we’ll be hosting informal meetings on a weekly basis for makers to talk about projects and help with makerspace planning. Weekly meetings will be held on Wednesdays from 7:00 – 9:00 in the cafeteria at Cape Cod Community College. This is your chance to talk about your projects, plan projects with others, and start the process of organizing a physical space.
We welcome any suggestions or ideas that you have.
