Cape Cod Makers goes to the White House


Cape Cod Makers is heading to the White House! Jim Sullivan, co-founder of Cape Cod Makers and Producer of the Cape Cod Mini Maker Faire, has been invited to participate in the White House kick-off for the National Week of Making on Friday, June 17.

Andrew Coy, a Senior White House Advisor from the Office of Science and Technology Policy, described the kick-off event in an email. “This gathering will preview the Nation of Makers events and bring together individuals from around the country who are leading efforts to empower, support, and inspire makers and will help kick off the National Week of Making.” This workshop will include one representative from each state and will create a national network of maker advocates.

The National Week of Making will coincide with the National Maker Faire on June 18th and 19th in Washington, D.C. Makers from across the United States will convene in Washington, D.C. at the second annual National Maker Faire.
